Does Reservations Making India weak.
There is a perception built into people’s mind that reservations are making india weak. Many people shouts that talented people are not getting seats or jobs. This is a false narrative.Out 100 seats/jobs, First 50 positions are Open to all and goes to highly capable and most talented ones. Top talent is rewarded in a highly competitive world. Extremely talented people are occupying the top 50% positions.
Now coming to the next 50% of opportunities. Either it goes to caste based reserved people or average talented people (who are not qualified in first 50%). It shouldn’t matter for country who got the bottom 50%. Anyhow both parties less talented.
Reservation is NOT the problem in india. Denying the opportunities to people of india by succcessive governments for 50 to 60 Years in the name of socialism and controlling institues with License-Quota-Raj is the root cause.
Economic suppression by leftist and socialists are the root cause behind india’s struggles, Poorness and many other issues. They simply rejected private and foreign investments in the country and made india a poor country. A Control Freak Government wants to control everyting and freedom of business was suppressed.
Until 1991, the whole system/environment is under the clutches of government. Scools, Colleges, Universities, Medical, Engg, Business & Law colleges, all the industries are under govt control, Private colleges are allowed but the seats are under govt control for distribution.
Reservations ONLY created friction when there is a scarcity of resources.
Reservations are NOT a problem in schools where sufficient number of seats are available for all. No one talks ablut reservations here. All can join schools and no one talks talent and weakness.
We never heard of reservation problems in general Arts & regular Degree colleges and Intermediate/ PUC colleges, No issues as not much competition here. All good. All get seats.
Problem starts when there is a crunch of seats or competition comes into picture. Engg, Medicine, Business and Phds are limited seats so people feel the pinch when they don’t get a seat.
Solution
Open the education sector to private and Foreign investments. We get world class universities and they recruit based on talent. 50% on talent of 50% on Money of course😊 ( Bottom 50% is always go on some criteria, Caste, Money, Region, Magement Quota etc etc ….), This will not change.
Presently Govt Opening the education sector to private institutions. Schools are fully private and no one cares about reservations until 12th class already.
PVT universities like SRM, LPU, VITS, Ashoka, ISB … are catching up with top universities slowly and TOP talent will slowly move there. Once top talent goes to Private sector, Govt Seats are availalbe and a day comes where no one is interested in govt college and it will be like a govt school. just go and join without much competetion.
Reservations shouldn’t be a problem going forward. Govt seats will be limited Or reaches a stage where no one cares. It’s just a matter of time.
Reservations in Jobs.
After opening the Business to Priave and Foreign Investors, our govt Job market share dropped to below 5%. Majority of jobs i.e 95% are in private segment at present and no reservations here. so 95% of job market is Open and based on Talent.
We are moving towards Open, Free and Competetive Markets in the coming years, sector by sector. Govt alreadying opening Railways, Defense Manufacturing and Space Industry also for Private. So Talent Flourish and Reservations no longer a factor in the Indian markets.
Good for Country
Our Hindu society is divided because of Reervations. Slolwy this problem will be resolved as no one cares about reservation/caste in future and country will be united stronger.
